For Bertony Faustin, the death of his father ignited within him a desire to stop taking life for granted and to start giving it his all. He decided to use his pain as fuel and took advantage of a vineyard plot owned by his in-laws. Abbey Creek Vineyard was founded...and the rest is history. Bertony takes us on the journey of how he was able to become Oregon's first Black winemaker - a feat that may have seemed ridiculous to outsiders - but doable to him. If you're not sure you have what it takes to make your dreams come true, Bertony will give you the push you need to start believing in yourself and your vision. Learn how this anesthesia tech turned winemaker became a changemaker. Some of the topics we explore:

  • The immigrant hustle
  • How he got his start in the Oregon wine industry
  • Why he made himself the brand
  • The importance of hiring a coach
  • His signature looks
  • Feelings are not facts
  • The truth about getting into the wine industry
  • Partnership > Collaboration... and more

Sometimes the journey we call life - can take us on paths and roads we could never imagine. But, getting to a place where we embrace the journey isn't always easy. We chat with Craig Robinson (Princeton '83 and older brother to the iconic Michelle Obama) about his #dreamdriving journey and all the important stops he made along the way. Craig currently serves as the Vice president of Player Development and G League Operations for the NBA’s New York Knicks. Craig shares how the trek from the South Side of Chicago to the suburbs of Princeton University impacted his life and fostered in him an "intellectual confidence" that has stayed with him his entire life. He then reflects on the value of taking RISKS and why the decision to venture back into the world of sports after a lucrative career in banking was one he doesn't regret. Craig also opens up about the major lessons he learned from important people in his life and gives tips for other dream drivers looking to find their way in life.
